Western Australia has been hit by a 5.4 magnitude earthquake in the state's south, near Albany.


Western Australia has been hit by a magnitude 5.4 earthquake.

The strong quake, which was felt at a depth of 10 kilometres, struck in Kojonup – south of Perth, but was felt as far as Albany.

The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed there is no tsunami threat as a result of the earthquake.
