A large grass fire has destroyed a shed at Little River, as residents in Mambourin and Manor are urged to evacuate.

The blaze is travelling in a south-easterly direction towards Manor Road, Emergency Victoria said in a statement.

“If you choose to stay emergency services may not be able to help you,” the statement reads.

Motorists have been told to avoid travelling on the Princes Freeway unless necessary as a result of the smoke, VicRoads has said.

Advice warnings have also been issued for Werribee, Avalon, Cocoroc, Point Wilson, Werribee South, Brophys Crossing, Tarneit, and Wyndham Vale.
